The first time I got into the world of photography was one or two years ago. But this year, I've been studying it even more seriously. I began to start a 366 project at the beginning of this year, and it's been such a challenging, fun, and beautiful journey of my artistic life. There are too many emotion I've been feeling this year to write in here!
I started to take pictures of stuffs and experimented with it, but then I started to know portrait, became interested, and I began practicing it. It's been also rough sometimes dealing with obstacles I've found on this journey, especially when I got into conceptual portraits. Turns out it's not as easy as I ever thought! But, I'm still learning.
I also met new people this year, and I can't thank them enough how much they give me inspiration. I also thank my family, my best friends, and you, whoever you are that I've never met, I thank you so much. This is what I also learned this year. Thankfulness. I am so lucky that I got great great chances and opportunities, that this year was the year I got my first job (YAY!), to be hired as a photographer, to win competitions, having the most beautiful trip to Karimunjawa Island, and mostly.. to inspire. My thanks are countless.
Here are some of my favourite pictures I took this year:
I remember that it was sooo challenging and exhausting to make this dress. But it was totally worth it. I'm so proud of this picture.
I took this a just couple weeks ago when I went life-studying in Central Java. It was a lovely and inspiring trip.
here are some behind the scenes:
in the making of "upon the earth"
"in mind". i remember myself blowing to the fire for a long long time to keep it lit.

- creating new project
Yes, we are going to suffer, we will have difficult times, and we will experience many disappointments-but all of this is transitory; it leaves no permanent mark. And one day we will look back with pride and faith at the journey we have taken. - By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept
(P.S: Thank you Natasha for the novel)
To everyone who has followed my works, my journey, from the beginning to the end of 2012, once again, I thank you so much.
